The ski area

With 31 lifts and 144 kilometres of pistes of all levels, Soelden is one of the most snow sure ski areas in Austria. The Golden Gate to the Glacier links the valley ski area with the two glaciers. Thanks to the glacier, skiing and snowboarding are possible from mid October through to early May. The season opens at the end of October with the FIS Ski World Cup at the Rettenbach glacier.

Every level finds its perfect descent. For a break you stop at one of the many mountain huts and enjoy good Austrian cooking, and for après-ski you head to one of the many huts, pubs and snow bars in Soelden.

Superskipass

The Superskipass extends the choice for every guest. From three days it gives you free access to all ski areas in the Ötztal valley, namely Soelden, Obergurgl-Hochgurgl, Hochoetz-Kühtai, Niederthai, Gries and Vent, on a single pass.

Away from the slopes

For sport and fun off the pistes Soelden has a toboggan run and an ice rink. Cross country skiers will find two small trails close to the centre.

Vacancia ski school

Quality has been the priority at the Vacancia ski and snowboard school since it was founded. To ensure that everyone makes real progress, groups are limited to a maximum of eight participants. At the office in the centre of Soelden you can book your ski course or private instructor, rent ski and snowboard equipment and buy your ski pass, all in one place.
