007 Elements

At a glance

007 Elements is an exhibition about the James Bond world inside the Gaislachkogel in Sölden, at 3,048 metres, right at the top station of the Gaislachkogl lift. It opened in July 2018, covers around 1,300 square metres over two levels and nine rooms, and stands on the original Spectre filming location. It is reached only by the Gaislachkogl lift; allow about thirty minutes for the ride over both sections. There are two seasons, summer from early June to early October and winter from mid November to mid April, open daily from nine to half past four with last admission at half past three.

Most of the building sits underground in the rock. It shows scenes from the part of Spectre filmed in Sölden along with material from other Bond films, and the art direction comes from the series' production designer. It was built by Bergbahnen Sölden together with EON Productions and MGM.

The exhibition is unheated, so warm clothing is worth it even in summer. Admission runs in time slots, and groups of twenty or more register in advance.

This is the one thing in Sölden that is better in bad weather than in good: inside the mountain, with a lift ride each way that fills half a day. If you are arriving in May or late October, check the season dates first, because it will be closed.
